Work Hours:

Full-Time;
Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Other Healthcare or related field 2 years college coursework preferred.
Experience
  • 5 Years Healthcare experience required.
  • 1 Year Experience in developing and delivering training programs in a healthcare or related setting preferred.
  • 1 Year Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • 1 Year EPIC Certified or advanced experience with Epic Cadence, ADT/Grand Central, Optime and Referrals preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire Preferred OR
  • CHAM – Certified Healthcare Access Manager 90 Days Preferred
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong public speaking, facilitation, and teaching skills with the ability to engage and train diverse staff groups.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing workflows and technology.
  • Analytical and administrative skills necessary to accurately compile statistics, write Ad hoc reports, maintain logs, and input data into various computer programs
What You Will Do Training & Development
  • Conducts new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring staff understand patient access systems, workflows, and best practices.
  • Designs and develops skill materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, presentations, and hands-on simulations.
  • Facilitates classroom and virtual training sessions for new and existing staff, covering core patient access functions and system applications.
  • Assesses staff competency and performance through evaluations, audits, and feedback, identifying opportunities for targeted retraining.
  • Maintains and facilitates updated content to align with industry standards, system enhancements, and process improvements.
Process & System Optimization
  • Serves as the leader, primary mentor and entity resource for patient access applications and workflows, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance for multiple stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with IT and system administrators to test, implement, and optimize system upgrades and functionality changes.
  • Conducts on-site rounding and audits to provide direct support and identify workflow gaps.
  • Supports downtime preparedness and recovery efforts, ensuring staff are trained in manual processes and reconciliation procedures.
  • Oversees work queue monitoring, quality assurance monitoring, SharePoint resource management, and report generation and analysis.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Works closely with Patient Access leadership, IT, and Revenue Cycle Training teams to align training programs with operational priorities.
  • Actively participates in and assists leading department meetings, presenting updates on training initiatives, system changes, and process enhancements.
  • Identifies and communicates system improvement opportunities, advocating for changes that enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Assists in the development and execution of departmental projects, workflow standardization, and process improvement initiatives.
