Primoris T&D provides construction, maintenance, and engineering of electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation infrastructure. Ancillary services include wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration services.
Project Coordinator ISupports the execution of Transmission and Substation projects by coordinating field requisitions (materials and services), permits, engineering and quality submittals, and tracking daily progress. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth project kick-off and maintaining efficient progress throughout the execution timeline.
Responsibilities- Review project portfolio for upcoming projects to determine required submittals, permits, municipal and regulatory requirements, and other essential needs for a successful
- Identify and coordinate vendors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and other service providers in collaboration with the construction lead to meet project
- Ensure all required engineering and quality submittals are submitted early for timely
- Track daily production progress and report field updates to project management
- Coordinate with customer engineers and representatives, municipal and regulatory authorities, railroad owners, and other relevant asset owners to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Secure all required work permits and approvals from the customer, municipal and regulatory authorities, and other asset owners.
- Serve as a liaison between field crews and representatives of municipal offices, DOTs, regulatory agencies, and asset owners.
- Collaborate with PSC supply chain to qualify subcontractors and vendors ahead of project start
- Track material delivery while maintaining close coordination with vendors to prevent commitment overrun and timely PO closeout.
- Monitor subcontractor and service provider progress and ensure timely contract closeout upon completion.
- Other duties as assigned by
- Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field, or equivalent utility construction experience required.
- 1 year of industry experience in power lines, substations, utility, or heavy civil
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to coordinate multiple crews and stakeholders in dynamic field
- Attention to detail in technical documentation and as-
- Problem-solving and proactive
- Familiarity with Transmission and Substation construction
- Ability to read and interpret utility drawings, staking sheets, and work
- Strong organizational, communication, and field coordination
- Familiarity with DOT traffic control and flagger
- Primarily office-based with periodic field visits to project
- May require travel to job locations and client
- Must be able to work in both office and construction
