We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with strong Civil 3D expertise to join our client's team on major infrastructure projects. This role is only suitable for a candidate with proven senior experience in civil engineering design, BIM coordination, and clash detection who can contribute technical excellence and deliverables on complex multidisciplinary projects. It is essential that you have strong Civil 3D experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of civil engineering packages using Civil 3D. Develop and manage BIM models, including setup and level management. Undertake services modelling and clash detection, ensuring technical accuracy and resolving conflicts. Support the preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical reports. Collaborate closely with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
Ensure compliance with UK design standards, planning requirements, and project specifications.
Advanced Civil 3D expertise this is a must-have requirement. Proven track record in BIM modelling, including setup and management of levels. Hands‑on experience with services modelling and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks). Minimum 7 years' experience in civil engineering design and delivery. Senior level background, ideally Chartered (CEng/IEng) or near-chartered. Strong drainage design/modelling knowledge (Micro Drainage/Info Drainage) desirable. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
RequirementsMust be based in the UK with a right to work in the UK. (No flexibility on this) Must be within commuting distance of London (1 day per week in office).
