Department Summary
The Enrollment Partnerships Department at UNT builds strategic collaborations with K-12 schools, community colleges, and other organizations to create clear pathways and pipelines to the university. These partnerships are designed to support student success from early engagement through degree completion, expanding access to higher education and strengthening academic transitions across educational institutions.
Position Overview
The University Transfer Advisor supports transfer pathway students throughout the transfer process from community colleges or other institutions into the university. This position provides personalized admission counseling, academic advising, transfer planning, and resource navigation to prospective students with a focus on transfer students and concurrent enrollment students. The navigator collaborates with institutional partners and may be located at partner campuses to ensure seamless transitions, promote student retention and success, and support institutional goals related to transfer pathways.
Involves travel to partner campuses.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related professional experience in student services, admission, professional academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills while working with current and prospective students.
* Strong presentation skills and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
* Ability to obtain credit card for travel.
* Good driving record and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Professional in appearance, motivated, self-directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with prospective students in a positive, courteous and professional manner.
* Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
* Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues, coworkers, and partners.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of of related professional experience in higher education student services, admission, academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Driver's license required.
Job Duties
* Provides students and families guidance on transfer admission requirements, eligibility, financial aid, registration, and enrollment procedures for guided partnership pathways from community colleges to UNT. Travel required.
* Advises prospective transfer students and community college concurrent enrollment students on academic program requirements, degree options, transfer pathways, academic planning, and university expectations. Travel required.
* Promotes guided pathways, articulation agreements, and concurrent enrollment opportunities through outreach, presentations, and partnerships with community colleges and academic departments.
