Position OverviewThe Department of Physics at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, with competitive startup, salary, and benefit packages. The candidate’s research should be in the area of semiconductor microelectronics (experimental). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the study of radiation effects in semiconductors. Candidates are expected to develop a vigorous and externally funded research program, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor student research, and provide service to the department, university and community.
Minimum Qualifications- Ph.D. in physics.
- A minimum of one year of postdoctoral experience, or equivalent professional experience, after the Ph.D. is required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching.
- Employees may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and must maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.
- Experience in the study of radiation effects in semiconductors.
- Research interests that complement and integrate with the UNT Center for Microelectronics in Extreme Environments and the UNT Ion Beam Laboratory.
Varies based on assignment.
