University Centers and Events (UCE) encompasses the University Union, Gateway Center and Coliseum. University Centers and Events (UCE), provides quality programs, services, and facilities that enhance the educational experience and create a community for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. We assist students to become good citizens of a global community.

This position will oversee evening operations of the University Union, providing additional support to student staff, and serving as a liaison with guests and university users. This position will assist with the overall management and security of the facility. This position will analyze situations that occur and coordinate with additional staff as needed, such as campus police, Union maintenance staff, UNT facilities on call, and external contractors or skilled labor, such as plumbers, elevator technicians, etc.

This position will be main contact for access and security needs in the union after 5pm.

High school diploma/GED equivalent and one year related experience in building operations and/or event facility management. Substitution of education for experience allowed.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to keep records and complete forms accurately.
• Ability to direct and manage the work of others.
• Ability to recognize and to report maintenance needs in buildings.
• Physical ability to perform work involving standing, stooping and some lifting.
• Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Knowledge of database management and event management software preferred. Experience on a university or college campus.

• Serves as first point of contact in responding to facility and customer concerns during evening and weekend hours. Handles emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Directs evacuations as necessary
