Assistant Professor of Management
- Health Care Administration-BBA
The College of Business is searching for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to teach Health Care Administration beginning August 2025. To be appointed as an Assistant Professor, candidates must possess an earned doctorate degree in Health Care Administration or a related discipline. ABD candidates near completion will be considered. Professional experience in health care administration is highly desired, as is an MBA.
Responsibilitiesand Teaching Expectations
This position is at an AACSB accredited college. Therefore, applicants with terminal degrees from AACSB-accredited schools will be given preference. Continued scholarly research productivity is required. Tenure-track faculty are expected to maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status for AACSB standards.
- Teach a variety of courses in Health Care Administration for undergraduate and graduate levels, using face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery formats.
- Responsibilities include teaching in the MBA in Health Care Administration; may involve teaching in the Masters in Health Care Administration (MHA) program as needed.
- Demonstrate experience teaching and mentoring a diverse group of students and contribute to fostering campus, curriculum, or department diversity.
- The preferred candidate will have expertise in healthcare finance, economics, accounting, policy or regulation.
- Home location is the Denton campus with possible teaching on the Dallas or Houston campuses as needed; teaching in the HCA-MBA program may be required.
- Start date is fall of 2026.
- Earned doctorate in Health Care Administration or a related discipline; ABD near completion considered.
- Professional experience in health care administration is highly desired; MBA preferred.
- Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Care Administration; experience with online, hybrid, and in-person formats.
- Commitment to scholarly activities and maintaining SA status under AACSB standards.
