Department Summary

The Computer Science and Engineering Department is home to 9 Professors, 13 Associate Professors, 11 Assistant Professors and 30 Professional faculty, over 160 Ph.D. students, over 800 master students and over 2000 bachelor students. We offer a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering, M.S. degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Data Engineering, ABET‑accredited undergraduate degree programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology, and a new B.S. degree in Cybersecurity.

The Department is dedicated to creating a climate in which every faculty and student can be successful. Position Overview

Clinical Assistant/Associate Professors support the Department of Computer Science’s teaching and service missions. Professional Faculty teach eight courses per academic year, with a workload of 80% teaching and 20% service. The position emphasizes excellence in instruction, student mentorship, and active engagement in departmental initiatives that enrich the academic experience. Candidates must be prepared to teach computer science subjects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in assigned discipline or related field or at least 18 graduate semester hours in the assigned discipline. A terminal degree in the assigned discipline or related field is required for teaching graduate Panch. Additional consideration may be given for equivalent applied experience in accordance with faculty credentialing guidelines. Meets the performance expectations related to the workload outlined in UNT Policy 06.005.
