Position OverviewClinical Assistant/Associate Professors support the Department of Computer Science's teaching and service missions. Professional Faculty teach eight courses per academic year, with a workload of 80% teaching and 20% service. The position emphasizes excellence in instruction, student mentorship, and active engagement in departmental initiatives that enrich the academic experience. Candidates must be prepared to teach computer science subjects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Minimum QualificationsA master's degree in the assigned discipline or related field or at least 18 graduate semester hours in the assigned discipline. A terminal degree in the assigned discipline or related field is required for teaching graduate level courses. Additional consideration may be given for equivalent applied experience in accordance with faculty credentialing guidelines. Meets the performance expectations related to the workload outlined in UNT Policy 06.005.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience at the university level.
