Department SummaryThe College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities and public safety. The Department of Behavior Analysis (DBA) is renowned for its pioneering role in the field of behavior analysis and offers a range of degree programs, including a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis, an M.S. in Behavior Analysis, and a Ph.D. in Health Science Research with a concentration in behavior analysis.
Position OverviewThe Department of Behavior Analysis invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time, on-campus Lecturer position. The role will primarily carry teaching responsibilities in the online Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis program and may include additional responsibilities in other departmental programs. Primary duties include instructional design innovation and online teaching, with a 9-month appointment and potential summer teaching. The current appointment is for one year with possible renewal after probation.
Minimum Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis or a related discipline from an accredited institution; ABD candidates considered, but must complete all doctoral requirements by Aug. 31, 2026.
- Experience with college teaching in at least one area of behavior analysis or related area.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current pedagogical and instructional technologies that are adaptive to student needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge in several areas of behavior analytic content, especially in autism.
- Experience with college teaching in multiple modes of instruction, including in-person, hybrid, online synchronous, and/or online asynchronous instruction.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting student success and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in teaching through direct teaching and mentoring.
