Position OverviewMUCE 4040/5040:
The Division of Jazz Studies seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Spring 2026 semester. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester, and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs. The anticipated need is to teach one combined class (undergraduate and graduate students) in Music Law and Finance, to cover topics including the basics of music law, music copyright issues, contract negotiation, funding opportunities, and financial management for music businesses and ventures.
This is a remote teaching position, but applicants must be residents of the state of Texas.

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
