Operational Manager

Overview

We are looking for an Operational Manager who is passionate about the healthcare sector and wants to play a part in making a difference in the lives of patients. This role provides operational leadership to the different departments, ensures compliance with legislative and governing standards, and drives strategic business objectives.

Job Description

• Operational Management:
  Lead, coordinate and oversee all operational aspects of the healthcare facility to ensure the site is effective and efficient in the delivery of quality care to patients.
• Relationship management:
  Understand the local network's (including patients, referrals, suppliers, business partners and Doctors) expectations and needs from entry/admission through to discharge or transfer of patients to build effective relationships, address service delivery issues and implement solutions promptly.
• Consultant and specialty collaboration:
  Partner with and be the first point of contact for consultants working on site and oncology specialists more broadly to develop collaborative and supportive relationships.
• Site financials:
  Responsibility for the site based financial results including the preparation and ownership of the annual site budget (including capital and facility maintenance budgets and business plans), and the approval and escalation of patient accounts.
• Business development:
  Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to drive the commercial development of the business, promote the site and services, deliver on strategic priorities, and identify, pursue and secure opportunities for increased volume and revenue.
• Quality management:
  Lead the implementation and evaluation of clinical governance and risk management plans to ensure site practices comply with regulatory requirements.
• Incident and improvement management:
  In consultation with site team members, act on reported incidents, stakeholder feedback, hazards and maintenance issues, including developing plans for improvement and innovation in service delivery.
• Accreditation and quality improvement:
  Manage the accreditation process at the site by implementing recommendations, monitoring and evaluating audits, and documenting and implementing quality improvement plans and projects.
• Policies and procedures:
  Review policies, procedures, protocols and manuals to ensure site performance reflects best practice and facilitates optimal patient outcomes.

• Lead the implementation and evaluation of clinical governance and risk management plans to ensure the site practices are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure continuous improvement in service delivery through incident review, stakeholder feedback, hazard management and maintenance planning.

• At least 5 years of experience in operational management or related roles within the healthcare industry.
• Ability to lead and engage with team members in the delivery of safe and quality healthcare services in a highly regulated and dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
