Reports To: DFW North Area Operations Managers
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with Saturdays as needed. Must be available for 30–50 hours per week.

The Yard Hand plays a vital support role in maintaining the operational readiness of A-1 Little John Site Services equipment and yard cleanliness. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting in loading and unloading units, maintaining inventory, and performing basic repairs and cleaning of portable toilets, fencing, dumpsters, and other service equipment. The Yard Hand works under direct supervision to ensure equipment is prepped, organized, and ready for deployment to the field.
Key Responsibilities- Clean, inspect, and restock portable toilets and site equipment according to company standards.
- Assist in staging and loading/unloading equipment for daily routes and deliveries.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs to site service units and yard infrastructure.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, and tools.
- Wash trucks and perform pre- and post-trip checks with supervisors as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any damages or missing parts.
- Support inventory tracking, tagging, and physical counts.
- Assist with pressure washing, sanitizing, and preparing equipment for dispatch.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Work cooperatively with drivers, managers, and other yard staff for smooth daily operations.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass regular drug screenings.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to drive a skid steer and forklift.
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic.

- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in construction, yard work, or equipment maintenance.
- Ability to operate forklift or yard equipment (training provided if needed).
