Reports To: DFW North Assistant General Manager
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a- 6p & Saturday as needed. Must be available for 40–50 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Compensation: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience.

A-1 Little John Site Services, a trusted name in environmental and site services for over 27 years, is seeking a skilled in-house Diesel Mechanic to support fleet operations at our Denison location and float to other branches as needed. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, reliability, and compliance of our medium- and heavy-duty fleet.
The Diesel Mechanic plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring DOT compliance
, and supporting operations through disciplined preventative maintenance and quality repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on diesel engines and fleet vehicles.
- Complete full preventative maintenance (PMs) monthly in accordance with company standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and computerized diagnostic systems.
- Repair or replace defective components including engines, brakes, suspension, and related systems.
- Service and maintain an assortment of medium-duty and heavy-duty day cab trucks
. - Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repair.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks required to service large vehicles and components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, ensuring proper tool and equipment storage.
- Maintain accurate and detailed DOT repair and maintenance records for all work performed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and environmental standards.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with hands‑on repair and diagnostic experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and fleet systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with medium- and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems including brakes, suspension, and engine components.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
