Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, provides quality health care to residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. We have facilities throughout the Texoma region. Texoma residents depend on TMC to meet a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs.
TMC offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC s role as a regional specialty center.
The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nursing provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Patient Centered Care concepts provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by professional nursing associations provide guidelines for competent, safe and professional practice.

Responsibilities include implementation activities for clinical systems: project management, design, testing, training, and go-live support and coordination. Provide application support related to nursing, ancillary and physician applications. Train physicians on Cerner and new clinical applications as rolled out. Provide clinical decision support and system administration for assigned clinical applications. Provide reporting and analysis of Clinical Information System activities and formulate recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
Support management with program development and budget submissions. Fully support the mission of the Information Systems department. Support and implement new automated programs in the Cath Lab. Responsible for all NCDR operations including TAVR, PCI, LAAO, Mitral-Clip and Tricuspid Clip.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Requirements:
- Associate of Science in Nursing or other related healthcare profession required.
- Two years of clinical experience in direct patient care in a critical care or emergency room setting required.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff with emphasis on physicians, nursing and clinical staff.
- Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff with emphasis on clinical staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Direct patient care and clinical management experience.
- Computer skills. Working knowledge of MS Office products and hospital information systems.
