Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities throughout the Texoma region. TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma and offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery.

Advanced resources, such as certified trauma care, support TMC’s role as a regional specialty center.

Responsibilities

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care provide the foundation for all nursing care. Nurses demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times and follow Standards of Practice set forth by professional nursing associations to guide competent, safe, and professional practice.

Qualifications
  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
  • One year full‑time experience in an acute care setting.
  • RQI BLS and ACLS required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • Successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
  • Capable of identifying and competently addressing the needs of the populations served.
