Maintain and support datacenter and server operations, including servers, backups, data storage systems, and power infrastructure. Serve as the system administrator for assigned applications, IP based CCTV systems, access control platforms, network performance monitoring tools, and other duties as assigned. Provide technical support to end users, coordinate issue resolution with vendors, and manage assigned technical projects. Lead system upgrades and new technology deployments in partnership with external vendors.
This position requires 24/7 on call availability. Fully support the mission, goals, and operational objectives of the Information Systems department.
Associates degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university. Comparable experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in PC technical support, server administration and support, hardware troubleshooting and maintenance, and network infrastructure cabling installation and diagnostics. Experience with Milestone CCTV software, S2 Access Control Systems, Dell Isilon, and Telecom systems is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong administrative knowledge of current Windows operating systems across server and workstation environments. Understanding of network infrastructure design and implementation, including CAT6 cabling installation and testing, basic network troubleshooting via command line tools, and experience with remote access technologies such as Cisco solutions, Citrix, VPN, and RDP.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload based on departmental priorities and operational requirements. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to resolve technical issues independently and work with minimal supervision. Ability to research, self‑educate, and stay current with existing, emerging, and incoming technologies relevant to the facility’s operations. Ability to travel to off‑site service locations with reliable personal transportation.
Effective teamwork and collaboration skills within a technical team environment.
