Responsibilities
Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border.
The Case Management Associate (CMA) assists in the development and maintenance of systems to support daily SW/RN Case Manager activities. The CMA will work side by side with the SW/RN Case Management team to assist with discharge planning and utilization review activities.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in a health‑care related field (e.g., psychology, biology, public health, health‑care administration, community health) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years in patient care or another related health‑care field; previous experience in case management, discharge planning, or utilization management is strongly preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills necessary to gather and exchange data (both internally and externally) with key medical professionals, patients, and patient family members.
- Ability to effectively utilize critical thinking and problem‑resolution skills and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge and experience with computers and Interqual criteria.
