Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, assists in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs tasks as per competency documentation, provides direct care with limited invasive procedures, and performs other duties as assigned.

• Reading and numerical competency.
• Completion of BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI guidelines; all required ECC courses will be provided during orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Handle With Care training within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to provide basic patient care, with effective communication and time management skills.
