Join Regions Bank’s team as a Relationship Banker I in the Demopolis branch. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing teller transactions, and promoting financial solutions.

Job Description

The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience both at the cash line and over the phone, while contributing to the financial wellness of our customers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line and handle teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.)
  • Answer customer inquiries about products, services, and basic servicing requests (cards, PINs, checks, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, staying informed about their banking needs
  • Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM)
  • Assist branch teammates with basic tasks to resolve customer issues
  • Refer customers to specialized internal teams when more complex needs arise
  • Follow all bank processes, laws, and regulations; support branch goals and customer outcomes
  • Make outbound calls using lead lists to educate customers on new technology and support financial goals
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Availability to work Saturdays as needed
  • Cash handling and teller transaction skills
  • Effective communication in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Frequent computer use (typing, monitoring)
  • Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 pounds
Preference
  • One year of banking, cash‑handling, or customer service experience
Skills & Competencies
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Support customers with digital banking offerings
  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Manage large sums of cash
  • Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific; the target information for the region is $35,640.99 USD (minimum) and $42,192.00 USD (median). Eligible for incentive pay under a formulaic incentive plan.
