Position: Admissions Coordinator
Location: Deltona, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $45,000-$60,000 annually
West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to be the welcoming first point of contact for our residents and referral partners. This role is essential to driving admissions growth, ensuring accurate financial verification, and maintaining strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, and the community.

Key Responsibilities- Monitor admissions processes and identify operational barriers; report findings to administration and corporate leadership
- Assist in developing and implementing systems to improve admissions efficiency
- Coordinate admissions with hospitals, including preparation of all required documentation
- Verify financial eligibility prior to admission and communicate details to the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance reimbursement processes
- Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community organizations
- Support marketing and outreach initiatives by attending networking events and promoting the facility’s services
- Explain resident care procedures, visitor policies, and facility guidelines to patients and families
- Track, complete, and report monthly admissions statistics
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and facility policies
- Minimum 1 year of Admissions experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance payor types
- Familiarity with PDPM, HMO rules, RUGS II & III, and Medicare prescription plans
- Experience using EMR systems
- Understanding of CMS regulations and reimbursement guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
