Radiology - CT Tech

This position requires a weekend shift, specifically on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with 12-hour shifts.

The CT Technologist is responsible for transporting patients in accordance with their physical abilities while ensuring the quality of patient exams. The role involves the operation of all CT associated equipment and adherence to X-Ray Department policies to protect patients. The technologist assists in administering contrast media as ordered by the Radiologist and performs special procedures as needed, while also supporting the training of Radiology students.

Maintaining records and cleanliness of examination rooms, along with restocking supplies, are also key responsibilities.

• Transport patients according to their physical abilities.
• Use positioning aides to ensure quality patient exams.
• Operate CT associated equipment efficiently.
• Protect patients based on X-Ray Department policies.
• Administer contrast media as directed by the Radiologist.
• Assist in performing special procedures.
• Contribute to the training of Radiology students.
• Practice sterile technique and Universal Precautions.
• Maintain records as per X-ray Department policies.
• Clean examination rooms after each procedure.
• Restock linen and supplies as required.

• Two years of previous experience preferred.
• Completion of formal radiology technology training from an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the ARRT and must hold CT Technologist certification.
• BLS Certification required.
