Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering rehabilitative services to patients.
  • Help patients with exercises and activities aimed at improving strength, balance, and mobility.
  • Document patients' progress and communicate findings to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Instruct patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and equipment use.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas while adhering to safety standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and move equipment and assist patients with physical activities.
