Heavy Equipment Technician

Overview

Our client is an established company with multiple locations in Western Canada. Their customers are throughout the US and Canada marketplace. They have had success over several decades selling and servicing heavy industrial equipment for the pulp and paper, oil and gas, rail, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. Due to a promotion in the shop, their is currently a need to hire a shop and field mechanic.

In this role you will work Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, typically its a 40 hour week with 5-10 hours of paid overtime per week. You will do a lot of work on engines and drivelines on mobile equipment. Up to $48 per hour, pension, profit share, excellent benefits, and fair vacation allotment are available for the successful candidate in this role. Requirements

-5 plus years of HD mechanic experience.
-Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic preferred.
-Demonstrated background with drivelines and engines.
-High mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge is an asset.
-Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities.
-Clear verbal and written English skills.
-Ability to interact professionally and in a positive level headed manner with customers.
-Someone who wants to grow within a company and stick around in a job long-term.
