Industrial Painter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Shop Painter to perform painting and coating of steel structures. The role involves thermal spraying of zinc and aluminum, and the application of plural component spray applications, epoxies, urethanes, and alkyds.

• Industrial painting and coating of steel.
• Perform thermal spray (metallizing) applications using zinc and aluminum coatings.
• Apply plural component spray systems, including epoxies, urethanes, and alkyd coatings.
• Ensure proper surface preparation and coating thickness for corrosion protection and durability.
• Operate and maintain specialized spray equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure understanding and correct implementation of mixing ratios and application techniques.

• 3-5 years of experience in spray/coatings.
• Proficient in industrial painting, metal coating, and thermal spray techniques.
• Expertise in spray painting and sandblasting.
• Strong understanding of mixing ratios and application techniques.

• Journeyman ticket is a plus.
• Leadership experience is advantageous.

Work indoors in a tempe rature-controlled shop. Be prepared for exposure to strong smells and the use of respirators. Shifts run from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime required during the week and weekends, particularly in the winter.

This is a Permanent position based out of Delta, BC.

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Delta,BC.
