Salary: $30-37 CAD/hr

• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, threads, and understanding all shop tool equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
• Reads, interprets, and follows drawings, BOMs and other specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Ensures that all products meet specified tolerances, while following and meeting all quality standards essential to Unifiller Systems standards.
• Assists with training of new employees when requested.
• Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and procedures.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to facilitate efficient processes and good safety practices.
• Carries out other duties as assigned.

• Obtained Red Seal Machinist designation or currently enrolled in an apprentice program is an asset.
• Manufacturing experience, working with stainless steel an asset.
• Experience using ERP software is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work with team members from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service.
• Work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.
• Able to lift minimum 50 lbs.
