Compensation

Salary
: $29.33 per hour

Primary Function

Functions as the Commission’s representative in matters of resident relations and building management at the site of residence.

Job Duties and Tasks
  • Maintains order and appearance of the “common” and “public” areas, including vacant dwellings
  • Performs cleaning and light grounds upkeep, including outside litter pick-up
  • Answers and handles emergency calls and notifies appropriate authorities
  • Generates work orders for maintenance staff
  • Performs pool maintenance, where required
  • Performs unit inspections and assists with annual inspections; responds to resident inquiries and complaints; completes incidence and other reports; delivers notices and forms
  • Calls the police or related public services in emergencies or disturbances and coordinates with mental health services, home care providers or residents’ families as needed
  • Responds to resident inquiries and emergencies, provides information and takes appropriate action during the work week
  • May be required to exercise interpersonal and conflict resolution skills when dealing with vulnerable tenants with complex health and social issues
Other Duties
  • Performs minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance and emergency repair
  • Performs various inspections (boiler rooms, fire alarm logs, security systems, etc.) and coordinates repairs
  • Identifies deviations in routine work and coordinates remedial action with Contractors and supervisors
  • Arranges for Contractors to view site and coordinates maintenance projects with site operations
Additional Responsibilities
  • Removal of abandoned personal effects with inventory
  • Operates the Employer’s vehicle when required
  • Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Conducts arranged unit viewings for prospective tenants
