KPMG’s Infrastructure, Capital Projects, & Sustainability (ICPS) practice is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team that provides support across the infrastructure lifecycle, spanning strategy, planning, procurement, execution, handover, and operations. Our team is comprised of economists, engineers, finance professionals, policy analysts, project managers, and construction and operations professionals with deep, global industry experience, who bring a diverse range of experience and perspectives to our clients.

Our team is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a Manager level professional. This role will be focused on supporting our clients in the delivery of major infrastructure projects.

What you will do
  • Lead engagements and/or engagement work streams (with oversight from senior practitioners) relating to:
    • Project reviews and health checks covering various topics such as cost, schedule, and risk
    • Development and implementation of frameworks, processes, and standards relating to project governance, project management, project controls, and similar
    • Preparation of procurement strategies, informed by risk allocations, options analysis and the market
  • Oversee the contributions of junior advisory personnel, provide on the job training and mentoring and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team
  • Lead and take an active role in the preparation of client-ready reports and other written deliverables
  • Prepare for, and lead, client workshops, interviews, and presentations
  • Lead proposal responses and support pitches and presentations
  • Monitor and track engagement metrics and profitability
  • Stay current with market trends and developments
What you bring to the role
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or similar
  • Experience with infrastructure capital projects, particularly in the areas of project accounting, and/or project controls
  • Experience leading advisory type engagements that result in insights, advice, and recommendations to help clients achieve their objectives
  • Experience in tracking and analyzing project costs and other project metrics
  • Strong quantitative skills, leveraging tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI
  • Experience with a variety of project delivery contract models, including collaborative models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and engage with a diverse group of clients
  • Ability to think critically, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and synthesize information into clear and succinct findings
  • Ability to travel within Canada and abroad, as necessary
Compensation and equal opportunity

The expected base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $131,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program
