Field Supervisor

• Lead, supervise labourers and equipment operators to maintain high performance and accountability.
• Provide on-the-job training and support daily planning with the General Foreperson.
• Conduct tailgate meetings, enforce safety protocols, identify hazards, and maintain required safety documentation.
• Communicate effectively with project management, foremen, and subcontractors, and complete accurate daily reporting.

• Oversee pump installation and maintenance, HDPE pipe assembly, and operation of water management systems.
• Supervise installation of culverts, geotextiles, liners, grids, and other environmental controls.
• Support civil and large-scale earthworks, including tailings dam construction and related infrastructure.
• Interpret construction drawings, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and work with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Monitor work scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure efficiency and cost control.

• Work outdoors in varied weather and terrain conditions.
• Perform hands on tasks alongside crews when needed.
• Safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

• Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned.

• Must possess BC Mine Shift Boss Ticket
• Must possess First Aid Certification
• Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s license
• Class 1 or 3 Driver’s license is an asset

• 10+ years in mining, civil construction, or large earthworks
• 5+ years in supervisory roles, including managing multiple crews
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of mine site operations and safety protocols
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of tailings dam construction, large earthworks, and environmental controls
• Problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to think on the fly and adapt to ever-changing conditions
• Strong open communication skills

This is a site-based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. This position involves working at a remote mine site on a 15 days on/13 days off rotation.

The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project is located within the Coast Mountains of Northwestern British Columbia and Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation will be provided from local communities to the Eskay Creek Site facilities. For those applicants located elsewhere in western Canada, flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports, from which shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities.

Travel time and expenses are subject to Skeena’s Travel Policy.

There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice, and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.

The expected hourly wage range for this position is CAD 52-56$, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
