Critical Environment Technologies ("CET") is a well‑established and rapidly growing manufacturer of gas detection and indoor air quality systems based in Delta, BC. CET has designed and developed more than 50 different products that are sold in all states and provinces and can be found in more than 20 countries globally. Our transmitters, controllers, and self‑contained units are installed in commercial HVAC, institutional, municipal, and industrial applications all over the world.

We are looking for a smart, articulate Application Engineer capable of designing gas detection systems for condo towers, arenas, breweries, and everything in between. Your job will be to review engineering plans, understand the application, design systems, create drawings and submittal packages, and then support the customer through installation. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with gas detection; just bring your engineering mindset and desire to learn and we will get you trained up.

• Review plans & project specifications received from customers
• Design gas detection systems for a wide variety of applications & prepare quotes for customers
• Create project drawings, quotes, and submittal packages for dealers and engineers
• Provide post‑sale technical & installation support for projects you design
• Deliver technical training and education to dealers, technicians, and engineers
• Share insights with the broader CET team and provide input on product direction

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present to a group in person and/or virtually

• Industry experience – familiarity with gas detection, HVAC, controls, and/or instrumentation
• Plans/drafting – familiarity with building plans and software used to edit them
