Engineering Operations – Labourers, Construction & Utilities

Delta, British Columbia, Canada – Works Yard. Employment group: CUPE Local 454.

Hours:

40‑hour work week.

• Sanitary & Storm Sewer Maintenance & Construction
• Water System Maintenance & Construction, including Valve & Hydrant Maintenance
• Trench Excavation, Shoring & Site Rehabilitation
• Pipe Installation & Repair
• General Labouring & Cleanup
• Other Related Duties as Required

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record and familiarity with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles. A Driver’s Record (five years history) must be submitted with the application. Previous experience with municipal infrastructure, construction, plumbing, piping, underground utilities and general labouring duties is required. Training or courses in Public Works considered an asset.

Competitive salary of $32.93 to $40.00 (2024 Rate) depending on the position awarded. Temporary full‑time employees become eligible for extended health, dental and life insurance coverage after six months of continuous employment.
