Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in Syspro ERP software and a strong understanding of financial processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

• Order entry, release and follow up with warehouses
• Assisting customers with product knowledge and directing them to Technical support
• Calculating the cost of inventory and receiving it into warehouse.
• Receiving shipments into the GRN, verifying quantity and cost to the purchase order.
• Accurate data entry of invoices matching to the PO, GRN and seek approval for payments.
• Process cheque runs, EFT and Master Card payment runs.
• Process receipts, issues to work in progress, transfers to other warehouses, adjustments, expense issues
• Perform physical inventory counts and spot checks reconciling variances in Syspro.
• Overseeing office supplies and services
• Reconcile Negative Inventory Report weekly
• Performs other tasks assigned
• Reports to Controller but interfaces closely with divisional managers

• Inventory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related field
• A minimum 5 years experience in Accounting and a CPA designation
• Proficient in cost control and GL integration, specifically by divisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills
