Director of Fitness and Wellness

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Fitness and Wellness to lead all Fitness and Aquatics operations at The Seagate Golf Club. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience while driving engagement, revenue growth, and operational excellence. The Director of Fitness and Wellness serves as a key leader within the Club, collaborating with resort departments to promote a culture of wellness, vitality, and service excellence.

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all Fitness and Aquatics operations at The Seagate Golf Club.
• Lead, motivate, recruit, train, and evaluate fitness and aquatics staff to consistently exceed member and guest expectations.
• Develop and manage a dynamic schedule of fitness classes, aquatics programming, personal training, and specialty wellness offerings.
• Personally lead group fitness classes and provide personal training services as needed.
• Grow personal training, small group training, and specialty programs to drive engagement and revenue.
• Establish service standards, departmental goals, and performance expectations for the team.
• Drive member engagement, participation, satisfaction, and retention through innovative programming.
• Develop and oversee community outreach initiatives to strengthen participation in club fitness events.
• Provide wellness programming and initiatives for resort employees.
• Manage departmental budgets, payroll, expense controls, and revenue performance.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports in accordance with Club policies.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing, safety, and health requirements.
• Implement and maintain facility operations manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety checklists.
• Collaborate with club and resort leadership to align wellness initiatives with overall organizational objectives.
• Uphold the highest levels of professionalism, service, and brand representation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Club.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education, training, or experience will be considered.
• 5–7 years of proven leadership experience in fitness and wellness, preferably within a private club, luxury resort, or hospitality environment.
• Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets and driving revenue growth.
• Current and relevant fitness certifications required (personal training, group fitness; yoga, Pilates, or specialty certifications a plus).
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead by example in a high-touch, service-driven environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied schedules.
