At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Porters and Dishwashers are essential to the success of every department. By maintaining cleanliness and supporting daily operations, this role helps ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for customers and team members alike.

As a Porter/Dishwasher, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting multiple departments, learn the importance of cleanliness and efficiency in daily operations, and develop transferable skills that can open the door to future opportunities within store operations and beyond. • Clean display windows, shelves, and fixtures
• Clean shopping carts and hand baskets; retrieve carts from the parking lot throughout the day
• Remove trash from all departments
• Operate dishwasher, pallet jack, knives, and other cleaning/warehouse equipment safely
• Communicate with managers if assistance is needed in any department
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive, service‑oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

A Porter/Dishwasher performs their tasks in multiple areas of the store, including the dishwashing area and the front of the store. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast‑paced retail environment. Frequent interaction with fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
