Job Type: Full-Time | In-Person

Position Summary

As the Infusion Nurse (RN), you will play a critical role in the delivery and coordination of infusion and subcutaneous therapies. This position combines hands‑on clinical care with operational oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑focused infusion services. The Infusion Nurse collaborates closely with providers, leadership, and staff while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and The Hirsh Center’s policies.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Start and maintain IV infusions for biologic medications; prepare, mix, and administer IV and subcutaneous therapies
  • Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions or side effects
  • Order and administer pre‑medications as appropriate; assess patient concerns and determine if medications should be held
  • Take and document vital signs; assess patients’ clinical status and disease‑related symptoms
  • Document all patient visits, communications, and clinical findings accurately and timely in the medical record
  • Communicate with patients referred by providers to address concerns and provide education
  • Schedule nurse visits in compliance with insurance and authorization guidelines
  • Manage daily nurse visit schedules and infusion suite workflow
  • Manage inbox communications, assess urgency, and prioritize patient and clinical needs
  • Coordinate care across the infusion suite to ensure efficiency and continuity
  • Draw blood and process lab documentation as needed for in‑house biologic treatments
  • Perform chart reviews for all SQ and IV nurse visits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Review nurse visit templates to identify documentation accuracy and revenue opportunities
  • Consistently communicate operational or workflow changes with staff
  • Attend monthly meetings focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and infusion operations
  • Support strategic planning related to infusion service development and growth
  • Stock and maintain the infusion suite and supplies
  • Cultivate positive relationships with patients, pharmaceutical representatives, and collaborating physicians
  • Attend conferences and educational dinner programs to stay informed about new infusible and injectable therapies
  • Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with The Hirsh Center’s values
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
  • 2–3 years of previous infusion nursing experience
  • Experience with biologics, IV therapy, and subcutaneous injections preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
