Position SummaryThe RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to the Emergency/Trauma patient. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, IQ, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient from the ED with an optimum level of care provided.

Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. As both a community hospital and state-designated Level I Trauma Center, it offers advanced cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care and weight-loss surgery. Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital at Delray Medical Center is the only state designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in the county by the State of Florida.
The center also houses Fair Oaks Pavilion, a 53-bed adult psychiatry unit.
- Minimum:
Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Minimum:
One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area - Preferred:
Two (2) years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
- PALS are required within one year of employment.
- Hazmat preferred, but not required
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within six months of employment.
- TNCC is required within 18 months of employment in the position.
- ENPC is strongly encouraged.
- CEN preferred, but not required
