Position SummaryThe Guest Relations Representative is responsible for the daily duties in the Patient Registration, Cardiac Cath, and Surgical Waiting areas, greeting and assisting visitors, families, patients, physicians, and staff whoever enter the hospital, answers questions and directs customers to proper locations. The Guest Relations Representative is responsible for providing oversight and leadership to the volunteers who work at the desks. Responsible for the general management of customer concerns that come to the desk and identifies opportunities for improvement in customer satisfaction.
Maintains excellent organizational and communication skills in dealing with physicians, patients, public, and members of the hospital staff where assertive, but tactful demeanor is required.
EDUCATION
:
Minimum:
High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred:
Post High school Vocational/specialized training in communication/customer service.
EXPERIENCE
:
Two (2) years previous patient/customer relations (direct/indirect) experience preferred
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
None
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
:
Able to operate computer for information retrieval.
- Provides supervision for the primary functions of the Information Desk in Patient Access
- Provides direction to family or friends waiting in ACU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Surgical Services
- Maintains the perioptimum computerized boards.
- Maintains pleasant working relationship with medical staff, employees, volunteers and community.
- Complies with all policies & procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements this job position.
