Linton-Delray Beach Surgery Center is hiring a Surgical Technologist Scrub Tech PRN to support surgical procedures in General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology and Retina, Pain Management, and Urology.
About the RoleThe Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. This role maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment, and supports the surgical center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals. The technologist also participates in quality improvement activities and adapts quickly to changing patient conditions.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED and completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent education and experience
- Certification required by state and/or center
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and implementation
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
- Excellent teamwork and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage patients, and coordinate with physicians
