Bruker Nano (BNANO) delivers tools to academic, governmental, life‑science, and applied‑industry customers for determining matter characteristics and visualizing molecular structures. The Product Support Engineer is a key customer‑facing role responsible for post‑sale instrumentation support within the assigned region for BNSM, the world’s leading metrology, cleaning, and repair tool manufacturer. Duties include installation, diagnostics, repair, and ongoing support to ensure customers maintain peak instrument performance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide Best‑in‑Class post‑sale support and drive continuous improvement of the BNSM customer experience.
  • Execute current processes, procedures, and controls while identifying and recommending improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of technical understanding and system‑level perspective; experience with Semi‑Metrology techniques and hands‑on work.
  • Provide remote technical support to field service engineers.
  • Manage service tickets and report service events in a timely manner.
  • Work with materials group to ensure timely shipping and correct inventory levels of spare parts in each region or customer location.
  • Write and/or modify technical procedures, service bulletins, and other related documentation.
  • Interface with customers with a strong focus on satisfaction via email, phone, and onsite visits.
  • Provide training to field service engineers, application engineers, and customers.
  • Assist service personnel with installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of semiconductor equipment worldwide.
  • Manage customer equipment events from initial notification to closure.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and track/report consumed parts.
  • Document failures through RMR failure analysis and corrective action systems.
  • Document all pertinent data and service events using SFDC reporting.
  • Provide onsite technical support to field service worldwide on short notice.
  • Participate in “Out of Box” quality processes to address setup and testing issues, acceptance criteria, specifications, and documentation.
  • Participate in Product Life Cycle planning to optimize serviceability from inception to end of support.
  • Support cross‑functional partners to deliver quality products.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel (domestic and international) as required and may be extensive.
  • Require some evening, off‑shift, and weekend work.
Environmental Requirements
  • Office and Class 1000 cleanroom protocols (hair net, smock, shoe covers, latex/nitrile gloves).
Qualifications
  • Experience with setup, calibration, and optimization of Class IV lasers – including Yb:

    KGW carbide pulsed lasers CMB
    01‑4H‑R, and semiconductor continuous coherent Genesis CX lasers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fluid environment with changing requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to provide objective input assisting in reviewing potential changes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
  • Sub‑assembly to system‑level experience in electronics, mechanical, and integration.
  • Testing and test‑plan writing, execution, and performance.
  • Detail‑oriented and disciplined management and meeting skills.
Educational/Experience Requirements
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Science; minimum 2 years’ experience in an applications role or as a manufacturing, assembly, or system‑level technician in Semiconductor, Aerospace, Defense, or Electronic communications technology organizations.

Base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is $76,500–$137,000, with additional performance incentives and benefits including 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, medical/dental plans, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability insurance, employee assistance program, and paid time off.
