Sales and Trading Operations Support Specialist

X’s Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst to work with our Chicago‑based Operations team. This person will monitor all regulatory trade reporting and resolve discrepancies as well as resolve all trade breaks/fails, etc., with salespeople and traders to ensure timely settlement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the creation of new accounts, trade entry, and position balancing.

The Operations Analyst is a member of the larger Operations team, providing support to the trading desk and sales force.

• Entering transactions on a daily basis
• Position balancing
• Monitoring regulatory trade reporting
• Resolving trade breaks / fails
• Entering information for new accounts
• Additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
• 1‑3 years of financial industry experience strongly preferred
• SIE licensing required and Series 7 licensing strongly preferred
• Self‑starter and quick learner who can work independently as needed
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
• Must be able to perform well in a fast‑paced and dynamic work environment
• Strong communication skills across media types and to all levels
• Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service
• Proficiency in Excel

• This position requires long periods of sitting behind a desk, performing tasks on computer.

• The majority of the job function is performed in a professional/business casual office setting requiring normal safety precautions.
