Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in managing invoices, payments, and financial coding within a dynamic environment. As part of the investment management industry, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

- Verify purchase orders against invoices and monitor aging reports to maintain financial compliance.

- Post payments to corresponding invoices and ensure proper account coding.

- Conduct regular check runs and oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

- Handle data input tasks with precision and attention to detail.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation and integration of new systems.

- Train on and adapt to financial software as needed for operational efficiency.

- Maintain clear and organized financial records for auditing and reporting purposes.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable processes.

- Support additional accounting functions as required to meet business needs. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing account coding processes.

- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check run procedures.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume invoice processing.

- Experience with financial software systems; willingness to learn new platforms.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
