The accountant will report to a Senior Accountant and support the Corporate Accounting & Finance team by performing day‑to‑day accounting activities and supporting monthly and quarterly close processes. This role is detail‑oriented and execution‑focused, emphasizing general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, reporting support, and communication with internal teams and external partners.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and timely general ledger entries, including journal entries and accruals
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and support balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and escalate issues as needed
- Perform overhead and operating expense reviews to ensure proper classification and accuracy
- Support budget vs. actual reporting, including data preparation and variance explanations
- Assist with partnership accounting and coordination, including:
- Communicating with commercial and operating partners
- Reconciling partner statements and supporting schedules
- Assisting with P&L reviews, prepaid balances, and other partnership‑related accounts
- Support internal and external reporting requirements by compiling schedules and documentation
- Assist with audit support, including responding to requests and preparing backup schedules
- Help maintain and follow accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, Operations, and other internal stakeholders
- Support ad hoc accounting and financial analysis as requested
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all company policies, laws, and ethical standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment
- Experience supporting month‑end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Experience supporting budget vs. actual analysis preferred
- Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, lookups, reconciliations)
- Experience with Net Suite (Oracle) or similar ERP systems preferred
- Understanding of general ledger structure and basic financial statements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Good organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to follow established processes and meet close deadlines
- Willingness to ask questions and elevate issues appropriately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
