Role Description
This is a volunteer, on-site role for a Counselor, located in Saket. The Counselor will offer guidance and support to individuals seeking assistance, actively listening to their concerns and challenges. Responsibilities also include conducting consultations, providing emotional support, developing actionable plans to address issues, and maintaining client confidentiality at all times. The Counselor may also collaborate with other team members to ensure the delivery of comprehensive support services.
Qualifications
Strong active listening and communication skills
Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with clients
Knowledge of counseling techniques and methodologies
Problem-solving skills to help clients create actionable solutions
Organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping and case follow-ups
Ability to work effectively in a team or independently in an on-site setting
A degree or certification in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field (preferred)
Prior experience in counseling or volunteering with support services is an advantage
