Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Sous Chef role specializing in Pan Asian and Chinese cuisine, located in Sholinganallur. The Junior Sous Chef will assist in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in adherence to the restaurant's standards. Key responsibilities include managing the kitchen team during service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, training team members, and innovating on menu items to ensure culinary excellence.
Collaboration with the Head Chef to manage inventory, control costs, and ensure smooth kitchen operations is integral to the role.
Qualifications
Proficiency in preparing and presenting Pan Asian and Chinese cuisine with creativity and attention to detail
Experience with kitchen management tasks, including team coordination, training, and maintaining hygiene standards
Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends in Pan Asian and Chinese cooking
Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management practices
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and build an effective culinary team
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training or a related field
Experience working in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel is advantageous
