Who should apply
We are not looking for content writers or casual food enthusiasts. We are looking for serious Bengali culinary experts who understand food as culture, history, language, and lived practice.
You should meet most or all of the following:
Native fluency in Bengali (reading and writing)
Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
Academic or professional background in one or more of the following:
Bengal's regional cuisines (Ghoti, Bangal, Kolkata street food, rural culinary traditions)
Indian food history and culinary culture
Hotel/restaurant management or professional culinary practice
Gastronomy, food anthropology, or cultural studies
Food journalism, food writing, or culinary research
Deep familiarity with topics such as:
Mustard oil, posto, panch phoron, fish varieties, shukto, mishti preparations
Durga Puja bhog, Poila Boishakh, seasonal foods
Temple bhog traditions, home-style Bengali cooking, and culinary vocabulary in Bangla
PhD or Master's degree is preferred, but credible professional experience as a chef, culinary researcher, food historian, or respected food writer will also be considered
Passion for accuracy, depth, and preserving culinary authenticity
Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
Create culturally rich prompts in Bengali that challenge state-of-the-art AI models
Evaluate AI outputs in Bengali for accuracy, cultural relevance, tone, and regional specificity
Identify misinterpretations or oversimplifications that flatten diverse culinary traditions
Contribute examples rooted in food history, market culture, household practices, and culinary language
Collaborate with a global team to build AI that respects the depth and complexity of Indian cuisines
