Job Summary
The Commis 1 – Pan Asian / Japanese Kitchen is responsible for preparing and assisting in the execution of Sushi, Bao, Dim Sum, and Ramen Bowls while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency. The role requires hands-on experience in Pan-Asian cooking techniques and strict discipline in kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Sushi (veg & non-veg), including rice preparation, rolling, and plating.
Assist in preparing Bao buns, fillings, and sauces.
Prepare and assemble Dim Sum items like momos, gyoza, and dumplings.
Cook and assemble Ramen bowls with proper broth, noodles, and toppings.
Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI standards.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, FIFO, and temperature control.
Assist senior chefs during rush hours and high-volume service.
Handle kitchen tools safely and maintain clean workstations.
Work as a team player while following kitchen discipline and instructions.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Good knowledge of Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine.
Hands-on experience in Sushi rolling, Dim Sum folding, Bao steaming, and Ramen assembly.
Knowledge of Asian sauces, condiments, and ingredients.
Basic knife skills and plating sense.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
