Who should apply
We are not looking for content writers or casual food enthusiasts. We are looking for serious culinary experts who understand food as culture, history, language, and lived practice.
You should meet most or all of the following:
Native fluency in Malayalam (reading and writing)
Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
Academic or professional background in one or more of the following:
Travancore, Malabar, Central Kerala, Syrian Christian and Muslim food traditions
Indian food history and culinary culture
Hotel / restaurant management or professional culinary practice
Gastronomy, food anthropology, or cultural studies
Food journalism, food writing, or culinary research
Deep familiarity with topics such as:
Coconut, curry leaves, pepper, tapioca, seafood, traditional spice combinations
Onam sadya, Vishu dishes, Ramadan food traditions
Sadya structure, ritual food practices, and culinary vocabulary in Malayalam
PhD or Master's degree is preferred, but credible professional experience as a chef, culinary researcher, food historian, or respected food writer will also be considered
Passion for accuracy, depth, and preserving culinary authenticity
Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
Create culturally rich prompts in Malayalam that challenge state-of-the-art AI models
Evaluate AI outputs in Malayalam for accuracy, cultural relevance, tone, and regional specificity
Identify misinterpretations or oversimplifications that flatten diverse culinary traditions
Contribute examples rooted in food history, market culture, household practices, and culinary language
Collaborate with a global team to build AI that respects the depth and complexity of Indian cuisines
