Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities
Supervising Engine Assy lines and engine testing on test beds as per SOP and Monitor engine parameters such as torque, power, RPM, oil pressure, temperature, smoke, Noise, and vibration.
Ensure daily production targets are achieved without compromising quality.
Knowledge of TPM/Lean Management
Good knowledge of Time study and Balancing of line activities.
Ensure that engines as per Buckle up Prod Plan / DL Availability as per hourly alert are readily available for buckle up after testing and fitment of dress up components.
Maintain I chart of defects and make action plans to reduce the rework
Keep record of rework of engines and to coordinate with engine team for reducing the rework
Monitor oil, coolant, and fuel leakage checks by team and no leakages should report after engine testing.
Ensure that the testing / Line Assy equipment are in good working condition and coordinate with PE/ME for reducing the Breakdowns
Attend the Major Meetings and make action plans related to testing / dress up area
Maintain Engine assy and testing records and documentation
Coordinate with Quality and Production teams for defect rectification.
Experience Required
8–15 Years in Automobile Diesel Engine Manufacturing & Testing Industry (Tractor/ LCV/HCV industry experience preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred BE/B.Tech - Mechanical/Automobile.
