Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions (SMR) is a leading supplier in equipment and tools, services and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Our application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing, and screening, loading, and hauling, tunnelling, quarrying, and breaking and demolition. To our Rock Tools division and the Production Unit in Patancheru, we are now looking for an Engineer – Production Planning to join us.

Your scope:

Responsible for schedule the machines for production, arrange input materials, In-bound delivery in SAP by posting the consumptions, responsible for WIP, on time delivery of finished products.

To be more specific, your main responsibilities to handle in this position are:

Ensure safe working practices across all activities, processes, and projects in full compliance with Sandvik EHS policies and procedures.
Adhere to ISO 9001, OHSAS 18000, ISO 14001, SMRT procedures, and Group Internal Controls.
Experience in SAP, Produce - production module as an end user.
Responsible for In-Bound Delivery for finished products in SAP responsible for on-time entries of post consumptions, production confirmations for finished products in SAP.
Responsible for providing material from vendor and production shop to the hammer assembly section as per the plan.
Overall coordination with PPSC, MED & production and preparing the plan by analyzing plant capacity.
Coordination with planning, MED and vendor department for additional requirements
Prepare machine-wise loading as per capacity and track the output, analyze the status.
Weekly machine loading plan & daily update on boards ate weekly performance reports along with reasons for failure and share with planning.
Accountable for materials and reconciliation of Stock & WIP on monthly basis.
Co-ordination with MED & production team for new products delivery.
Co-ordination with QA and production team for rejected materials accountability and control.
Ensure release of MO's as per plan and arrange input materials at machines & to vendors.
Update and follow up for machine parts from vendors.
Responsible for SFG MO s closing on-time and Lead time reduction.
Responsible for building the Kanban and update.
Overall custodian of Material &WIP.
Team member for DTH bits & hammers production and responsible for on- time deliveries of quality products as per plan.

Your profile:

Our candidate should have 5 years of experience from a Manufacturing Engineering Industry. A Graduate Engineer within Mechanical Engineering is required. You have previously worked with strong EHS cultured organizations, and you understand the importance of a diverse workforce and collaborative settings

Competencies that we find necessary are  :

Hands on experience in SAP – produce module.
Hands on experience in scheduling of machines, production / machining processes, assembly process, WIP & material reconciliation and process lead times.
Expertise in MS-Office
