Lead Azure Architect

The Lead Azure Architect is responsible for the architecture of cloud technologies overseeing other architects to ensure a cohesive overall system architecture. They provide expertise, advice, support, information, training, and alerts in his/her area of expertise. He / she can take direct action on all or part of a project, which falls within his/her area of expertise. He / she ensures the continuous improvement of existing solutions and Azure technology portfolio.

The role works across various business and infrastructure programs to deliver services to the Nor Am lines of business.

Shift Timings: 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST

Key responsibilities:

Azure Architecture – Design overall enterprise Azure architecture of Nor Am including identification of existing gaps, proposed remediation and documentation in alignment with global standards
Troubleshooting – Escalation point for other Azure engineers to troubleshoot complex issues
Leadership – Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior architects.
Implementation – Leads the implementation of Azure projects through direction of Azure Engineers and hands-on implementation
Continuous Improvement - Conducts research on emerging technologies and makes recommendations about technology improvement or replacements to provide value to the business

Required Skills:

BS in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience.
10 to 18 years of experience in Managing Infrastructure Services with a large scope.
5+ years infrastructure architecture and engineering experience in Azure.
3+ years of experience in people leadership.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure compliance methods and management controls.
Experience effectively communicating about infrastructure planning and effectiveness.
Ability to lead meetings, assign workloads and support collaboration across teams and departments.
Knowledge of setting goals and determining the most efficient path to meet objectives for self.
Skill of problem-solving and how to overcome obstacles, complete projects and reach targets.
General knowledge of financial principles and ethics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Similar role in large multi-national company in hybrid on-premises and cloud
Ability to present IT concepts and budget to business
Proficient in English communication
